Also, the Acorn Tree District of Paulding County is interesting b/c Elizabeth's gr niece Emma Rosalee Brooks (dau of James W Brooks)married James Solomon Furgerson from Acorn Tree in 1905. His mother was a Lawrence from Acorn Tree. People seemed to cross back and forth from Paulding to Cobb County - not far from each other.
Any idea why they left Paulding? I've found that a number of them left Paulding in the 1880's but they went west to AL or TX. I read that people either drew free land lots or bought land in Murray after the Trail of Tears (1838-39)but that wass too early for them. Later, there was a RR built and that could have provided jobs.
