This is from so long ago but thought I'd respond anyway... Benjamin F was my great great grandfather... I just recently came across where he passed away in The Dalles, Oregon on January 13, 1903... I was hoping to see the death certificate and get his parents name but apparently that is a few months prior to they're being recorded in Oregon... He was buried in The Dalles IOOF cemetary in a plot that was purchased by his oldest son Arthur. The cause of death was Small Pox. I have records of his land claim in Thurston County, Washington. He had several more children. Mary Jane I have a good deal of their life together but in 1911 she remarried a John Denny and the last thing I have is her living with Wayne Upton after his wife Effie had passed away. Wayne passed away in 1921 and I'm not sure of the outcome of his younger children... I have been continually searching for his prior years to Washington but seem to be at a roadblock... What a sneaky guy! I wonder if it is encircled by the Civil War because it is before that there can be nothing found... In the census's he lists his home state as Illinois where did you get Indiana?
