Richard,
My name is Phyllis Stone Wheat . I am the grandaughter of Ada Irene Roachell Stone my grandmother was born in Lafayette Co Ms. in Harmontown. Her father was William Roachell but on the marriage certificate it says W.W. Roachell what does the second W. mean? Where did the family move to when they left Mississippi? I know that her mother was Alice Rials. My grandmother lived in Parkin where did her parents live did the whole family move from Mississippi and where did they move to. Did they leave Lafayette co. Ms. and move to Cross co. Arkansas? I am the daughter of Lloyd which was Ada's oldest child. I look forward to hearing from you.

Even though this thread is kind of old I'd like to pass on some information.

Luther William Roachell (b. 13 Oct 1889) married Lula M. Rutledge (dtr of Russell Jasper Rutledge and wife Sarah Elizabeth Thompson, both of Longtown, Panola Co., MS) on 7 May 1911. She appears with Luther on the 1920 census in Parkin, Cross Co. with children: Travis, Theo (f), Luther and Woodrow.

Around 1924 Luther married Orban. What happened to Lula? Did she die there in Cross Co? If there are any Roachell's still in Parkin Co. I'd appreciate it if someone could check the cemetery where everyone is buried to see if she is there.

Thanks.
