I am so excited to see the mention of William Rittmeyer of Chicago, as he was the younger brother of my great grandfather, Frederick Rittmeyer, who came with his family in the 1880s to Chicago from West Prussia!! William was born 3 Oct 1882 in Chicago, married Sarah Edminson on 21 Jun 1905 in Hawthorne, Illinois. They were two of nine brothers altogether, and one sister. The brothers were Fred, Frank, Robert, Gustav, William, Otto, Joseph, Edward. Their sister was Helen...who married Frank Edward Webber. The parents of the brothers and Helen were Herman Rittmeyer and Caroline Michaelis.
