There was a Homer R. Ritter born in Irving Township, Barry County, Michigan on 22 April 1869. His father was William H. Ritter (1841-1909), who came from New York. His mother, Barbara Haney (1851-1882), came from Ohio. Some other sites have noted him having several siblings: Mary E. Ritter (1871-1940), Bertha May Ritter (1873-1944), Emma D. Ritter (1875-1957), and Hugh Ritter (1878-1944). Homer would move to Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan. Homer is buried in Orangeville, Barry County, Michigan.

I found this information on other peoples' trees and in Census data when I did a search for Ritter families in Kent County, Michigan. I am trying to figure out how my grandmother could possibly be related to this Ritter family.
