Doris A. Ritter

BELLVILLE: Doris A. Ritter, 90, of Bellville, Ohio, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield Hospital, Mansfield, Ohio.

Doris was born in Shelby, Ohio February 27, 1924 to the late Edward and Mary E. (Lysinger) Travis.
Her father passed away when Doris was young and she was raised by her mother Mary and her stepfather, the late Paul Burrer.
Doris married Kenneth P. Ritter on February 19, 1972 and he preceded her in death on November 9, 2010.

Doris lived most of her life in the area. She enjoyed doing counted cross stitch, playing her keyboard and painting.

Doris is survived by: her son, Brian T. Smith of Akron, Ohio, her daughter, Connie J. and Ernest McClellan, Bellville, her stepdaughters and stepson: Brenda and Edward Fish of Ray Township, MI, Donald Ritter, Ontario, Debra Ritter, Crestline, OH, Barbara Ritter and Aboubacar Agne of Columbus, Ohio; ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, her sister, June Kanig, Reno, NV, and her brother Gary and Shirley Burrer, Shelby, Ohio.

Services at the graveside will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 21, 2014 in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline, OH with Deacon Bill Horning officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
