This is a headstone for Harvey A. Ritchie, buried in the Wasco Methodist Cemetery, outside of Wasco, Sherman co., Oregon. This may be the Harvey Ritchie found residing in Bear River, in Yuba co., California, during the 1880 census. The headstone reads: "Harvey A. Ritchie / Born in Clark Co. Ind. Nov. 7, 1827. Emigrated to Ill. in 1828. From Ill. to Ia. in 1833. Back to Ill. in 1845. From thence to Cal. in 1850. Crossed the plains in Captain Pence's train. From Cal. to Ore. in 1883. Died Feb. 26, 1905."
