Marjania Risinger Lindsey was my great grandmother. Rosa Elizabeth Lindsey Harrison (my grandmother) kept good records in her bible. She lists 10 brothers and sisters with birth and death dates. Her records show that Marjania died Dec. 19, 1901. Her father Thomas Walker Risinger died Dec. 20, 1901 and was buried in Big Sandy Cemetery near Dallardsville in Polk County. We do not know where Marjania was buried but since she presumably died the day before her dad, we believe she also was buried at Big Sandy. We have a song written by Marjania after the death of her last child, Lillie Mae Lindsey in 1898. In the song she requested that she be buried by her little girl in Big Sandy. Do you know what Thomas Walker Risinger died of? Had he been living in Polk County or did he just die there? I would like to know more of what happened here.
