Peter Ricker was born in Philadelphia Co. PA. However, the New Hanover Lutheran Church where the birth record is found is located today in Montgomery Co. PA. At the time of his birth that county did NOT exist. He can not be born in Mont. Co. because it was not created until 1784 so don't let the book which contains the record fool you.

The record also states that Peter's parents were Andreas and Elisabeth.
