I hope you can help me. My father was born in Limoges, Ontario, Canada June 3 1914 and died June 7 1994 in Ottawa. His name is Albert Joseph Richer. After her married my mother 1960(?) Enid Burke, he changed his name to Ritchie. I don't have very much information. Only that my father's parents died when he was very young (baby ?). They were either walking along the train tracks or travelling on a train when they were killed. His father could have been a principal and his mother a teacher (I don't know how accurate this information is). My father was raised by his mother sister Mary Jane (McKay ?). She married into the Bonnefont family. Her husband was an OCTranspo bus driver in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. They had a son named Ray. When my father was younger her burnt down the community church including all it's records. He did not have any other siblings. After my parents divorced he changed his name back to Richer. My mother told me she later learned that my father was previously married before he married her, but never divorced his first wife. He may have other children with his first wife who could be in their 50's. All very strange. May be worth looking into. My father worked as a construction worker all his life and went to Jamaica on a Government contract to help build their schools. Any chance of solving this mystery.
