Have traced some info on Richards family in Orange Co, VA in mid-late 1700's but am seeking add'l info from anyone else who may have more. About all I know is this:

Isaac Richards, b. 1774 m. Elizabeth Robinson b. 1778 on Dec 18 1798. Some sources would indicate Isaac also went by J. K. "Ikey" Richards...

Isaac & Elizabeth evidently had at least two kids, boys, by the names of John Robinson Richards(b. 1801) and Weldon (or Weeden, b. 1805) Richards. Weldon is my 5th gr-grandfather. Anyway, John Robinson Richards was evidently named for Elizabeth's father John Robinson. John shows up on the 1782 Heads of Households index conveniently listed next to a Jacob Richards.

Does anyone know anything about this Jacob Richards? He had 5 in his household altogether.

Also on the list from 1782 are listed William Richards, Philemon Richards and Ambrose Richards...a couple sources I found seem to indicate these 3 may have been brothers to Jacob?

I know there are also some connections to the Mason family through Weeden's marriage to Mary "Polly" Mason...

I realize I don't have alot of firm info, but if any of this looks familiar to anyone, please let me know. I especially need to determine Isaac's lineage and determine if Jacob does have a connection to this line. Thanks a bunch!

Ben Richard
