Surnames: Rhama from Arkansas
My children's great grandmother (my ex-husband's grandmother) was Birta Lee Rhama from Arkansas. I'm not sure where, though. She was born in 1895. She was school teacher and married Joail Stevens. They had four children: Ernest, Roy, Maudine and Ruby. They came to California during the dust bowl and lived in Salinas. This is such an unusual last name. Is my Rhama related to yours?

the name Birta Lee dosen't sound familier, but by it being spelled RHAMA there should be a connection some where. I think they started spelling it RHAMA around Benjamin's time, so I think there is a chance we are connected. Benjamin's sons were
JAMES MONROE, JAN. 8, 1866 (ARK)
HENRY L. SEPT. 28, 1899 (ARK)
WILLIAM WARREN AUG. 5, 1872 (ARK)
ARTIST FLOYD APRIL 23, 1878(ARK) MY GRANDFATHER married to SALLY (SALLIE) DOUGLASS
I have heard of the name McNutt before around Jonesboro, Paragould, Lake City, Ark. Do you have relatives from around there?
