I read your post with GREAT interest as I descend from Randal Revels and wife Lydia Lawson, both born in Robeson Co., NC, circa 1820-1825. They had a big family, and around 1860 census or before, they changed their last name to HARDIN. Lydia died in Columbus Co., NC, giving birth to their last child, a son named John Henry.
