Seeking information on the origin of George Rector the progenitor of the Parrsboro/Cumberland County/Nova Scotia Canada Rectors. We have found him in Deaths Burials and Probate of Nova Scotians 1800-1850
d. 22 Feb 1842 at Halfway River at age 90 St. Georges Anglican Church (s
gravestone inscription) George is the only Rector candidate old enough to be b. abt 1752. His marriage to Mary Sparks in 1791 was when he was abt. 39, she only 14. Unsubstantiated (as yet) 20th Century Historical accounts have him fighting in the Am. Rev. (and taking a blow to the head by a horses hoof), this fits with b. 1752...he'd be in his early 20's as a soldier. WHERE DID MY GEORGE COME FROM IN THE US? ANYONE HAVE A GEO RECTOR/RICHTER b. abt 1752?
