My great grandfather was a Wade Ratliff. I don't know if Wade was his first name for sure, because everyone in the VA mountains has a tendency to go by middle names. Wade married a Martha Breeding and they had several children. My aunt Grace and my grandmother Minnie were two of them. My grandmother married Ezekial Bernard Farmer(Jack) and they lived for many years in Vansant, Virginia, though I don't know how many years they lived there or where either families originally came from. Do any of these names belong in anyone else's geneology?
