Would it be possible for me to see your research....including the sources of your documentation? I can better advise you after I have seen it. It is always better to have a Y-DNA test done but you must have a male with the surname Raper that is in your line. If that isn't possible there are a few more Raper's who are doing the autosomal DNA which reveals cousins. Of course it is more complicated than this so I'll advise you to visit www.familytreedna.com and read up on the different kinds of tests.
