NILES - Imogene “Red” Ramer, 82, died at 5:50 a.m., Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, at Gillette Nursing Home in Warren, Ohio.
She was born Jan. 14, 1932, in Hohenwald, Tenn., the daughter of James and Eula Smith Curry.
She was a 1951 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, was employed in maintenance for 10 years at General Electric in Warren, and enjoyed playing bingo, making jewelry, and watching old movies.
Her husband, William Ramer, whom she married July 15, 1954, died Jan. 3, 2009.

She will be deeply missed by a son, Keith Ramer and his wife, Debbie, of Austintown, Ohio; a brother, Gary Curry and his wife, Barbara, of Niles, OH; a sister, Lola Masciangelo and her husband, Alfred, of Warren; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and -nephews; and great-great-nieces and -nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Ramer; two brothers, Frank Curry and Jesse Curry; and two sisters, Hessie Young and Ernestine Curry.
Private funeral services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles, OH.
