Grace, I'm working on my cousin's tree and she has a John Rainone (dob 1891) married to a Carmella Sullo (dob 1896).

Do you have information on any siblings that may include these names? John was born in Panni.

my husband side dad is Pietro married anna maria Ciarciello his grandparents were Santuccio Rainone Born 6 April 1914 and Giovanna Casullo Born 11 dec 1913 his parents were Pietro and Anna Calabrese not sure of last name she was his first wife they had other children Donato,Saverio,Antonio and Giovanna then he was with Maria Muscilla the spelling maybe incorrect but this is what i have to go on so far.She had 2 kids as well luigi and Michele.

As for Giovanna Casullo Born 11 dec 1913 her parents were Francesco Paulo Casullo Born 3 sept 1883 in Monteleone Panni and Died 25 Jun 1963 in Panni. Her mother was Concetta Sullo 11 dec 1888 Panni,Foggia her parents were in conflict of what to call her ....one wanted Lucia and one wanted Concetta.....so they ended up registering her birth certificate Concetta......but ended up calling her Lucia
Their other kids were Paolina(1927) Angelina (1923) lucietta (1932) Rocco Antonio (1921) and Marco (1924)

Francesco's Father was Antonio Casullo and mother was Giovanna Rampini.
They had 3 other kids Michele, luigi and luciano.
Concetta's parents were Marco Sullo and Anna Antonia Cocciardi.This is what i have so far i am working on finding dates etc but thought if anyone could help it could hurt.
Any Help would be great!!!

Hi - my grandmother's maiden name was rainone - Concetta Rainone. She came to England - to London when she was about 6 years old, together with her parents (Michele Rainone 1851-1929 and his wife Maria Carmine - nee Martini - 1847 -1933) and her brothers and sisters.
I hardly knew my grandmother - she married and became Concetta Rispoli and died when I was about 4 years old.
However I do know my mother told the story of her mother's uncle being Italian Court shoemaker - he had a strange name to my childhood (and English) ears - he was called Uncle Dodo to the family ...could this be Domenico Rainone??

I am not related to the Rainone family at all. looking to find relation to the item rather than throw them away. My son-in-law is descended from Anna Rainone, born 22 Aug. 1882 in Panni, daughter of Carlo and Maria Rainone. She married Antonio Lanza about 1897 in Accadia, Italy and they immigrated to New York City around 1899 where they lived briefly on Mulberry St. They moved from NYC to West Virginia after the 1900 US Census and they appear in the 1910 US Census in Clear Fork, Tazewell Co., Virginia. I would be interested in hearing from anyone connected to this family.

Is anyone researching their ancestors who lived in Italy?
My 4th great-grandmother was Domenica RAINONE. She married Giocchino CERNESE who was born about 1754. At that time, more than a hundred years before the Unification of Italy, the place where they lived was in the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. It was under Spanish Bourbon rule then. The town where they lived is now called Palma Campania, in the province of Napoli.
I have other RAINONE in my file. They married people with the last names of ADDEO, DELLE DONNE, FERRARO, IEANNIELLO, MANCONE or MAGONE, and SIMONETTI. If anything sounds familiar, I will be glad to share information with you.

Im david rainone, in Swansea, ma. My grandfather, John, and great uncle Carlo were from Panni, Foggia... My relatives live mostly in R.I. Let me know if any of yoru family is musical. That was what my dad, Albert and his father and grandfather did. Grandfather came to US in about 1905 and settled in Fall River, Ma.
Im knew to the geneology thing but am trying. You know in the end we;re ALL related in the Rainone family...lol

I just called my Mom and got a list of siblings for you.

Sabato (Sammy), Donato (Danny), Angelina, Theresa (Tessy), Emma, Elizabeth, and Phillip. For extended details, please visit my tree. The details are a little sparse, as my Mom can't remember everything (birth and death dates, etc.) on everyone, but it's a start.

My Grandmother, Anna Marie Rainone, was born April 9, 1921. She married John DeMasi and had one child, Annette Lucille DeMasi (who is my Mother), December 10, 1951. My Grandmother's parents are Lucia and Cosimo Rainone, both born in Italy. Grandma was born in Brooklyn; she lived in Green Point for a while, but moved to Rego Park, Queens when my Mother was around 13 and remained there for the rest of her life.

I'm not sure what her siblings names are or how many there are -- I will have to ask my Mom about that, but I do know that Lucia (God bless her) died when my Grandma was only 16.

From what I understand, my grandparents were from Foggia - grandfather Carmine. I was born in Brooklyn, NY and have many relatives in Rhode Island. I now live in Los Angeles. I don't know much of my ancestry. If any Rainone out there has any info, I would love to know.

Yes I do come from a very musical family. My grandfather used to play mandolin and a home made tin flute (possibly other instruments, I don't know), my dad musical too. I myself almost majored in music in college but I decided to minor in it. I have played clarinet, sax, and marched in Drum & Bugle Corps as well. :)

You are probably right... all Rainone's are related somehow.

my great great grandfather directly on my fathers side was aparently the grand master Cobler of Italy. A cobler is a shoe smith shoe maker. So if you every heard any stories about him then you are directly related to me. His name was Fiore, or Domenico Rainone I can't remember wich
