My husband's great grandfather is an August Rademacher born in Prussia and who states on the 1900 New York census that he emigrated in 1846, & was sixty-five in 1900 so born apprx. 1835. He married in approx, 1876-77 to Catherine Miller in Cheektowaga, Erie Co., New York. They had 7 children, 6 sons and 1 daughter. He would have emigrated at age 11-12 and so must have come with relatives but I have been unable to find any info.
