The oral tradition of my family stated that" Three brothers left France because of religion. One stayed in Germany one went to Holland, then America, and the third fled to England." Our ancestor was Heinrick N. Raque. There is a large group with the name Raque in the Louisville, Ky. area and all of the groups seem to have come from an area near Loraine and Germany. The issue is the fact that no one has produced any documentation that ties everthing togather. It would be interesting if someone has something on the subject.
