I just typed in one of the family names (Silas Youngs) on yahoo.com and it brought up this page which is INCREDIBLY sensible...it even mentions Rev. Christopher as the founder of the Southold community. Well, it is a stretch, for those of you looking through the matriarchal lines as well as the men you might find it interesting that we may have originated in the Southwold, Suffolk ENGLAND area. Rhoda Youngs married Samuel Rackett in the Southold, Suffolk NY area after her father (Silas5, married to Martha Vail) and grandfather (Gideon4) and great grandfather (Gideon3) and great great Grandfather (Capt. Joseph2) settled it after the great great great grandfather Rev. Christopher Youngs1 (Younge) did. How cool is that!?
