Hi Joan...Still stymied on where Winkworth's parents (William and Elizabeth) came from. Nor can I find where they were buried.

In any event, they may have come from;

1. Ireland (probably northern as they were associated with the Anglican Church in Annapolis),

2. From New Hampshire as there were early Quigleys there (1735), also protestant and with similar first names.

They could have been among those that McNutt brought to Nova Scotia in the early 1760's as he brought people from both areas, (Ireland and New Hampshire) to settle in Nova Scotia
