Hi,
I am researching the PYTER family from the Kroscienko Wyzne or Klimkowka areas of Poland.
My ancestor, Mary Pyter (born 1872) married John Malinowski and emigrated to East Chicago, Indiana.
Mary's father was Casimir Pyter.
I am willing to share my information.
Thanks

I am a daughter of Benjamin Casimir Pyter (b 3/4/15 in Dubuque, Iowa) and a grandaughter of Joseph (middle name unknown) Pyter. I was born in 1950 and my maiden name is Mary Eleanor Pyter. Not sure if this is helpful or even the same family lineage. Let me know if I can be of help and please share what you have collected thus far. Thank you.
Mary

My name is Randy Pyter. My family was from Iwonich (sic?), father was Henry Pyter, grandparents Catherine (Turek) and Joseph Pyter. Grandparents came to the US through Ellis Island in the early 1900's and there are records on the web site. I have immediate family in the Chicago area and in Milwaukee WI. A sister attempted years ago to get family information including from a distant relative in Poland, has a family tree drawn back to a Adam Pyter.Had a coworker from the sam village Ted Komkowicz who corresponds with a distant cousin Jan Pyter in CA. Will share info.

Hi Randy,
My daughter-in-law is a great granddaughter of Casimer Pyter, son of Joseph and Catherine Pyter. We would appreciate any information you could give us. Casimer and Ione Pyter had two daughters Joanne and Barbara. Barbara died young and there seems to be no records of her birth or death. The farthest back we have been able to go in the Pyter family tree is Joseph and Catherine Pyter.
Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

Hi
Joseph Pyter was born in about 1879 and his wife Catherine Pyter was born in about 1884 in Poland. Their son Casimer Pyter was born in 1916. His brother Henry Peter was born about in 1918. Casimer was born in Illinois and Henry in Wisconsin. In 1920 US Census the family was living in Milwaukee. Is this your family too?
Thanks

Hi
So your Joseph and Catherine Pyter never lived in Milwaukee? Our Joseph Pyter came to the US in about 1910, I imagine through Ellis Island. By 1920 they were living in Milwaukee with a son Henry and several other children including our Casimer. Is this not your family? You may not have known Casimer, but he is a son of Joseph and Cathrine Pyter of Milwaukee. I remember you saying you had family in Milwaukee.
Thanks
