My first message- 64 years old, family of four, living in western New York State. I know of other Peishers who spell their name PYSHER. Our small family tree traces to the northeasters part of Pa. If you think that there might be a connection please e-mail to Thanks.

I have a Magdalene HAUSBERG who married a John PYSHER and died in Flicksville. She was John's second wife. John had a daughter Sophia by his first marriage. I think Sophia married Magdalene's brother Samuel as his second wife and had two children, Franklin and Ida.

Magdalene's father was Johan George HAUSBERG. Died in Plainfield Twp. Any info. Can you verify the connection?

After reading all of the posts,I have heard all of these names while growing up. How they are connected, I don't remember. My father was Willard, son of Elmer, Bangor, PA. My mother's side was Johnson. All of the Bangor, PA area. Moved to Martins Creek,(Lower Mount Bethel), then to Easton. I know 'PYSHER" is before 1776. There is a small village just south of Bangor on the 'creek' road. It was once known as "Pyshertown" or "Pysherville". My sister Betty has all the info. E-mail me and I'll e-mail her. She is still in Easton, I'm in South Florida. pappyneil@yahoo.com
