We are just beginning to research the Pishny families in Waterville, Kansas - Marshall County near the Nebraska state border.

Ignatz Pishny married Anna Skalla and immigrated to the United States around the 1870's.

Do you recognize any of these locations or names?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Best Regards - Julie Pishny

The Frank Pishny you are talking about was a half brother to my grandfather Anton Pishna. He was born inMoravia in 1875came to US with parents Frank and Josephine( Spacek) Pishna ( as we spell the name). They settled first at Dewwese, Ne. then Anton moved to Pauline, Ne. where my mother was born. When Anton moved the family to Burwell, Ne. his father Frank came to live there with them and his wife Josephine went to colo. to live with a son there. I understand Frank Jr. lived at Crete, Ne. and was a shoemaker. He was married to Julia Hromolka ahd they had 4 children Frank, Charles who changed his name to Karl Penny, Ludwig and Ludmilla. I have wanted to see their graves since Crete is nearby but i have not ben able to find them the cemetary is so big. I want more informastion about Frank and Julia and their decesendants. It may help with mine. My mother told me Uncle frank would come up to Burwell and visit sometimes and bring the kids candy. Please let me hear from you. My email is dpjcashatt7@inebraska.com Thanks, Dorothy
