My g. grandfather Abner Pyrant was in the Confederate War and is buried at New Hope Church. Do you know where your grandfather is in the Cemetery? I would like to know if there is anyone doing DNA testing on the Pyrant-Pyron's. I would like to see that happen. I would like to compare notes on the Pyrants of Caswell Co.NC and PittsylvaniaCo. Va.

Mary married Thomas Turner when Abner went to War. She never married before and Abner was her only child.

You might want to check the D.A,R. Patriot index and see if someone has gotten in on his Revolutionary service. It is required on application papers to name all of the children and who they married. Pull up D.A.R and browse around their sight. Most people do not know how wonderful this organization is. Their library is beyond belief and awesome.
