In doing research I have managed to find an Edward Pye in bowling having a joshua pye (pye being the original name)in the 1640s. Something that I find really interesting is that there is an edward pye married to a Maria swaine in Penistone 3 years earlier. Swaine being a Bradford name I managed to track Maria swaine born in Bradford in 1619 so could it be any connection. I currently trying to connect this pye to those minor nobility in Much Dewchurch and Kilpeck. The reason I'm looking is because Edward pye isn't born in bdfrd or penistone, so could he be from cheshire/derbyshire. Or even further afield?
