Hi Colleen,

My father came from Montreal, Quebec and his father from Harbor Grace. They immigrated in the early to mid 20's and settled in Massachusetts. My grandfather Walter Pynn had a relative named Arthur that used to visit him. I wonder if there is a connection.
Thanks

I have a Wheeler line in Connecticut around the late 1700s -- Priscilla Wheeler m. Henry Lanphere.

I am also looking for a James Soper who married a Charity, may have been Charity Laux/Loukes, widow of William W. Brown. Place would be around Greene County, New York (but Charity Soper, widow of James Soper is buried in Caldwell, Racine County, Wisconsin). Time frame of Charity's birth would be about 1780.

My father, George Pynn, died March 1. He was born in 1911. He had an older brother, Augustus, a younger brother, Arthur and a sister, Evelyn. Augustus was married to Harriet and had 2 sons, Thomas and Daniel. Is this "our" family??

Brand new to the Waukesha County Rootsweb site here - but I grew up in the area. My Pynn/Penn relatives came from Newfoundland and settled in Waukesha County (Hartland & Delafield specifically). I have loads of info on several local lines, and would love to compare notes.

I live in Newfoundland and I'm pretty sure I'm related to the Pynn's who went to Waukesha County. My grandmother was a Pynn born in Hr. Grace. I have some info on the family.

VERY COOL Robert! My name is Kate, and I'd love the chance to compare notes with you. My direct Newfoundland relatives were Edward E (b. 29 Mar 1804, d.6 Jun 1882) m. Anna Hamilton Kearney (b. 1 Jan 1806, d. 9 Oct 1885) on 21 Dec 1825 St Paul's Anglican Church in Harbor Grace. They had 12 children. They emigrated in 1849 aboard "The Glide".

Does this information agree with YOUR Pynn's who immigrated to Waukesha County, Wisconsin??
