I am looking for a death date and place for Mary Ann Pyner who was born September 20, 1830 in Dublin, Ireland. She married John C. Vanschoonhoven possibly in 1844 in WI. I think she died after 1912 because I have a dated photo of her daughter and on the back it says "To Mother with love" but apparently the photo was never sent. Does anyone know Mary Ann Vanschoonhoven's death date or place? My e-mail is Pollywogh@aol.com. Thank you.

I am an ancestor of Mary Ann Pyner and can share some personal stories about Susana Bernie and Henry Pyner told to me by my father and aunt. I would also like to be able to receive the e-mail address of Norwood Barris to gain additional information about the Van Schoonhoven family.

Hello, I am the great grandson of Charles Lynn Van Schoonhoven (and great great great grandson of Mary Ann Pyner/Van Schoonhoven), who was the brother of Glenn Daniel Van Schoonhoven. Both Charles and Glenn left Minnesota for Cuba. Charles married Bernice Zeneida (sp?) Cox (an American)in Cuba and Glen married Anna Krauter (an American) in Cuba. Glenn died in 1919 (I believe in Cuba) and Charles died in 1945, not sure where. My great grandmother Bernice Zeneida left Cuba for Texas with her children, Staten Leland Vann (they shortened the name) and Coridona Palma. Bernice was apparently from Texas originally and did not leave with Charles Lynn. My grandfather, Staten Leland Vann died in Zapata County, Texas. He married my grandmother in Texas, they were divorced, and he later married a Mexican-American woman and they had children who are Vann's. Coridona Palma Vann married in Texas and died in Austin. There are many Vann's in Texas including my brother and his family in Fort Worth and many who are descendants of Staten Leland Vann and his second wife.
I know that Charles Lynn Van Schoonhoven's uncle, Frank Van Schoonhoven, was part of a group that brought settlers from Minnesota to Eastern Oregon (Union County) so there are more Van Schoonhoven's in Oregon. I would also like to know if anyone has more info. on the Van Schoonhoven's and paraticularly if Charles Lynn and Glenn both died in Cuba.
