Stanley Reid Pyne was my father. He married my mother, Laura Pothier, about 1951. My brother Thomas Edward Pyne was born April 21, 1952 and I (Nina Marie Pyne) was born July 1, 1953. Our family moved to Ontario in the late '50's. Dad remarried after my mother's death in 1976, to Esther Provencher Volk Pyne (who had 4 grown children). He was married to Esther for 8 years when he accidentally drowned in May, 1984 at 61. He did get to meet my oldest son Steven, who was 1 when Dad died. Steven looks a bit like his grandfather. Dad was over 6 ft tall, with nice blue eyes and blondish hair. Our Steve is not tall, but he has the same colouring. If you've seen pictures, you'll see he was pretty good looking, and smart, too. He was a spitfire pilot who did 2 tours before being shot down in France during the war in 1944. He spent most of his life in Ontario teaching high school carpentry. I have pictures of your grandmother and a very few of your mother as a baby. My brother and I always wondered what happened to Bernadette. We figured we were easy to find. Now that I'm retired I've been researching my family, on both sides and I just ran across your post. You can find me on FB or reach me at
