Hello,Sorry I just found your response to my question about the Pilants in Bristol,Eng.
Would love to share info with you. We were in Bristol in 2000 and have pictures of what remains of St.Mary-le-Port church, where all the children were christened. I know James, christened 30 Aug.1604 went to Va. in 1642.

Do you have any info on perhaps the family were Huguenots and had originaly lived inFrance? I don't, but have heard rumors for sometime.

Please e-mail me privately at remammen@intrex.net.

Look forward to hearing from you.

I am the grand-daughter of Jessie Moore Piland and Jesse Johnston (or Johnson). I have extremely little info since I am just starting.

They are formerly of Edgecome COunty (Tarboro/Rocky Mount area) prior to WWII

They had four children: Coleman, Harry (my father), Gilbert & Grace.

Looking for any info on my grandmother. I believe she had a brother named Charlie.

I hope you can get this. I noticed your post of info of the Piland in England (James, Richard and Edward) My mother was a pylant and I have a lot of rich history of that whole line. I have discovered it goes back all the way to England with Edward born in 1570. If you have ANY info about the family history and or names. Please email me at truluvwaited@yahoo.com. I am doing research for my grandfather and would love to share with him before he goes blind.
