Just ran across a family tree from the daughter of Katie B and Herman Rolfs. Katie and my father were cousins, and I visited the family way back in the 1930's. I would love to hear from you if you are related to this family.

hi i am charlene pyka...my father was henry pyka...his dad also served in the ss in germany...i am in canada born and raised...wow...my father and his parents fled during the war also...i dont recognize the names that you mention but my father was born polish german in hamburg...

My father was John P. Koshney, born in Independence WI on 3/27/1905 to Peter and Elizabeth (Klimek) Koshny. Elizabeth's sister was Mary Pyka. I met her once in 1960. She was a widow, in her 80's, and I remember that she had a glass eye! My parents spoke to her in Polish.

I have limited information about the Klimek's but was told that, although they were of Polish decdent, they actually came from Hamburg Germany where they had been employeed in something to do with ships. The family spoke both Polish and German. My father said that during WW1 they received letters from a relative who flew with the Red Baron???

I am looking for information on the Koshney's. I have a copy of my grandparents wedding certificate from ss P&P's and I've seen the sensus records from 1910 and my father and aunts birth records. But I'm looking for any information about my great grandparents either Koshney or Klimek. I don't have any first names.

I have a Peter Pyka and a Rosinar (possible wrong spelling) Kuklok in my family tree but their daughter's name is Margarethe and she was born in 1832.

Wonder if there is any relation.

Margarethe was baptist in Falkowitz, Falkendorf, Kreis Oppeln.

Margarethe later married intot he Jorek family.

Sorry, can't confirm or deny.

The only thing I have is Pyka's with two dots .. over the Y, which would be almost like a German umlaut.

I actually have a baptism certificate from 1832 for Margarethe Pyka, who is the daughter of Peter Pyka and Rosinar (not sure if that spelling is correct) Kuklok.

I've been working a little more on my family tree and have found a few more Pyka's and Kuklok's.

Kuklok, Rosalia (Rosina) married Peter Pyka on May 10 1825 and they actually had 8 children, Maria, Adam, Eva, Agatha, Margareth(e), Petrus, Nicolaus & Albert.

I didn't even think about checking on Piccard since I have an actual Pyka Brith Certificate. (Then again, with all those different spellings, I should have thought about it.)

Darn, I hope I haven't posted this twice. Don't know what happened. Thanks for this information and I will add it to your other post. I am not sure this is even my family since I thought the name was Piccard and then some one suggested it might be Pyka. Haven't worked on this line for awhile so need to refresh my memory. Hi, This is a long shot on my part. I always thought my Marie's maiden name was Piccard and then found some info so thinking it may have been PYKA so was hoping someone could confirm this. I will continue to try to see just what her maiden name was. My Michael and Maria Sura were married in Germany and came to the U S in 1871 and settled in Stearns County MN. I am sure they died there and buried there but have not found that info either. Sura was a common name in that area. Thanks for getting back to me.

Carolyn grew up in Des Plaines Illinois.
Her birthday is May 8th 1960 or 61.
Her dad, "Ziggy" I know has passed away.
Her mom, "Charlene" I think, moved to Omaha Neb.
She has 2 older brothers, "Steve and Greg"
Also 2 younger siblings, "Laura and Johnie"
I know she moved to Texas, then I believe San Francisco.
We were highschool sweethearts with the same birthday.
I've been dreaming about her lately and would like to say hi.

she married Paul Mlynek,
they lived in Königshütte,
in the time from 1870 until 1930,
later she lived in berlin, were she dies in 1963.

Paul and marie had 12 Children.

I am looking for information on the Koschney family who lived in North Creek, Trempealeau Countly (near Arcadia). My Grandfather John was born in Arcadia in 1910. His father James (possible Jacob) married Frances Glowczewski there in 1900. James' father Matthias died in 1907 in Arcadia and is buried in North Creek. Your relative Paul Pyka was married to Rose Koschney. I am sure that she was connected to my Koschney family somehow. Do you have any information on her and her family?

OK, did anyone figure out how the Wisconsin Pykas and the Minnesota Pykas are connected? The Morrison Co. Minn. ones later spelled it Peka. My grandmother was Emma Peka whos grandpa was Albert Peka of the Bowlus, Sobieski areas here in Minnesota. Curious. dvpiere@yahoo.com

My closest friend during my childhood was Margaret Pyka. Her family was composed of her mother Lydia, sisters Mary Ann, Dottie, a brother Leonard and a couple of others whose names I can't recall. I believe she had an older brother who was a priest. The family lived in Long Beach California during the 40's and 50's. Does anyone know this family or where Margaret might be now?

My dad was Edward Pyka,born in Independence, Wis, Trempeleau County. His father was Joseph Pyka who was married to Mary Lisowski. I am so excited to find some family links!
