Further, with your spelling variant I suggest that you seriously consider joining the PIGGOTT Y-DNA list at Family Tree DNA and submitting your own test kit. Mr. Tom Howland has already isolated several distinct PIGGOTT lines, and your participation could certainly lead to a tie-in between your spelling variant and one of the established lines. Hi,

My name is Richard Pygott. My grandfather had a sister who moved to america and her name was Betty, I know that she passed over the course of the last few years.

Are you a pygott as well?

I am English and still live in England, I am trying to trace my family, as the Pygott name is quite rare, so is easy to trace, I would just be interested in seeing who has got the same name and where in the world we are.

Pygott Family Help Please?

I am researching my Grandmother's family the Pygotts. My grandmother was Edith May Pygott of MO (1901-1995). Her parents were George T. Pygott (1872-1933) and Berth I Pygott (1881-1963)...I need Bertha's maiden name as I do not know her parents???

Also, back to Geo T. Pygott, I have his parents, James Pygott (1841-?) and Mary Pygott (1844-?). Does anyone know Mary Pygott's maiden name? I do not have parents for either James or Mary Pygott.

Any help would be deeply appreciated. I have been wanting to do this for a long time. It would mean so much to find out more about the Pygotts.

We have an active list, and your chances of finding information on your line are reasonably good if you post as much detail as you know to that list. I am looking for any connection(s) with my Great-grandmother Ada Thompson (nee De Pygot). My Great-grandfather's name was Harry Thompson. They had three children, Averil, Rosie and Ernest. Hope this may ring a bell with someone.
