Hi,

My name is Richard Pygott. My grandfather had a sister who moved to america and her name was Betty, I know that she passed over the course of the last few years.

Are you a pygott as well?

I am English and still live in England, I am trying to trace my family, as the Pygott name is quite rare, so is easy to trace, I would just be interested in seeing who has got the same name and where in the world we are.

Richard;
Sorry but I am not related to any PYGOTT that I know of.

Just think of me as a cemetery photographer.

Richard,
I am the administrator of the Rootsweb PIGGOTT (all spelling variants)surname list. I have posted your query to our list for our members to see. The following link will allow you to search, browse or subscribe to the list.

Further, with your spelling variant I suggest that you seriously consider joining the PIGGOTT Y-DNA list at Family Tree DNA and submitting your own test kit. Mr. Tom Howland has already isolated several distinct PIGGOTT lines, and your participation could certainly lead to a tie-in between your spelling variant and one of the established lines. Here is the URL to the page showing test results so far, from which you can navigate to the page to join the group and order a test kit.
