Anyone out there researching the name above

Pybus - Saddler of Ripon, U.K. in 1881 census
also a Thomas Pybus in the late 1800's census
of Ontario, Canada. Would be interested to
know if there is a family connection.

I have a relative who was born in 1836. She married a Scot, named James Thomson and the two moved to London, Ontario, Canada around 1861. She might be an aunt or Great Aunt. Any connections?

Hi Jackie,
Recently saw your message on the " Pybus " board.
My Great Great grandfather was Thomas Pybus who was a Blacksmith in Londonderry near Bedale ( just North of Ripon) He went out to Canada and then to Iowa USA during the late 1800s. I don't know if this is a family connection or just coincidence.

Hi Duncan,
Are you still out there? Thomas Pybus, Saddler of Ripon, was my gr. x 3 grandfather. He was born in Ripon, his wife was from Masham and his daughters were born in Bedale. I have not found any record of a son yet. What do you know about your Thomas? Do you have his parents names, date of birth etc. One of Thomas's great grandsons, my great uncle Bernard Hall, emigrated to Canada. I believe to the Hamilton area. my email is: selbybrooks@yahoo.com

Any Pybus (1836-1884) married James Thomson on Sep 20, 1864 in Perth County, Ontario. Ann is sister of John Pybus (my great, great grandfather). I have further information on other siblings and parents.

Hi Lorna
Could you give me the links from you back to your g g grandfather, John Pybus, as well as his father and any brothers/sisters he may have had? I have some gaps in my family tree and am wondering if he is the John Pybus, Coachbuilder in York b approx 1744 or be the John Pybus, owner and captain of the Clipper, "Midas", who died approx 1833?
Please do respond if you get this. Would love to fill the gaps.
Regards
Jenneke

Family history research has led me to the Pybus family in Leeming who were blacksmiths. Trying to fit a Hannah Pybus into the picture who was born in Leeming in about 1805 and whose father is Thomas Pybus - farmer.
