My grandmother was a Pybas from TN. There are many of us working on the Pybas lines. We have been successful except going back to England/Ireland/Scotland or where ever.

What do you need to know?

Where do you come in?

I have tried for years to find info on Paul Pybas my grandfather he was married to Hattie Isacck in 1904 in cherokee county in Texas He lived in Jacksonville Tx. in 1903 this is the only info I have on him, he and Hattie had two children my mother and her sister they were given up for adoption when mother was four and her sister was two Paul's name was not on the adoption papers so we don't know what happen to him there is or a least we haven't found any record on him after 1907 that was when my aunt was born and they were adopted in 1909

Send me a message at sock@peoplepc.com and I will steer you into the Pybas working group. I will look through my files and see what I can find. The name Pybas is spelled a lot of different ways. Have you looked under Pybus?

Have a great day,

Bob Ervin

Well, I had a stepfather that I always thought was my father, until the age of about 10, I loved him dearly, because he never wanted me to know. His name was Pleasant Alexander Pybas. From what I gather he was from Tenn. he had a brother,that died and I remember him saying that he was a doctor and my stepfather carried this black leather bag with him always, that was many a year ago. he and my mother seperated in the 1940s and he moved to baltimore Maryland at the beginning of the second wold war to work,I never have found out whether he and my mother were ever married or not, but they had a son named William Robert Pybas,who died in Oct of 2001,who lived in Ellicott City, Md. He married Elizbeth Bowers of baltimore in the 1950s, they had four daughters, lost one daughter when she was grown to complications of Diabetes . Years ago I heard from his wife that they had tried to trace the family and that they were from England.Thats as much as I know about the Pybas clan. If this helps you out any I'm glad because its a job trying to put the pieces of you'r roots together when you were never told anything, but thats the way it was back then. I made sure my kids know what i know and I'm putting it down on paper so they won't forget

I posted a message earlier today and forgot what could be of importance As I said befor my stepfathers name was Pleasant Alexander Pybas and what I omited from my post was that when he first meet my mother it was in Greenbrier county West Virginia, where he took her from a home where she was mistreated by my father, I was about two. they went to Clarksburg WWa where they lived there till the war started
when he came to baltimore Maryland to find work. He lived in Maryland till his death. I found in( Sec..Sec death index)that he got his S.S.card in N.C. also is listed Bonnie Pybas but her maiden name was( Haines )she was also from W.Va but to my knowledge they weren't married and they had no children together.

I'm sorry for my mixup but you see I'm very new to the computer world and I just signed up for Ancestry.Com so you see I hardly know what I'm doing

Here I am again--last night I found a angela pybas, listed as a member of the handbell choir of the Oklahoma Baptist University, has a masters degree in computer science,graduated in 1999. I also see the name change during her years at OBU to Angela Pybas Lee. {There are pictures}

My guess is that you may already have this info, I'm very new to the computer so if you could give me any tips on how to retrieve things it would be a big help, I'm 72 and there are things about my family I still need to know
