PUSEY - ENGLAND

The earliest mention I have of a Pusey, is William, born ca 1682, LOndon. According to the history of the Pusey House,Berkshire, the last menber of the Pusey family died out in 1710, and a number of families changed their names so as to inherit the estate. The Pusey House was built just prior to John Pusey's death in 1753, and passed out of the family in 1933.
I have seen reference to Caleb Pusey's father,as John, alias Pusey,Bartholomew. Any more info out there ?

Somewhere around here is a list of Pusey geneology--England--circa 1160-1700's.
when I locate, I will forward. It lists from original mention up to the three Pusey brothers who came to America with William Penn. Somebody in my family has come up with the story that the name Bartholomew came to be associated with the Pusey line when a landowner had no male heirs and offered his holdings to a prospective groom of his daughter if the man would adopt the Pusey name. I also have what is purported to be the Pusey coat of arms.-??

I am going by what info I was able to find at
a web site in England on Country Houses of Berkshire; Pusey House.
You can search the web for data, find a dozen different site, and get a dozen different answers.
I would thing the Coat of Arms would have expired at the death of the last surviving male heir, either in the 1700's or the 1900's, depending which Pusey family is considered.
I have more on the Pennsylvania/Delaware line, as they married in to the Heald family in the 1700's.
And in my searching, I have found a number of people by the name of Pusey, who do not seem to be related to us.
Need more research on this line.

Hi
I am descended from Prudence PUSEY and Thomas FLOWER.
Prudence and Elijah had 4 children, and Prudence and Thomas had at least 10 children.
Hannah was the oldest, and she married David Spurlock in Montgomery Co, VA. After they moved to Bourbon County, KY, several of his daughters married.
Rhoda m. Basil Berry, Elizabeth m. Hugh Lattimore, Nancy m. Thomas Redmon, Fanny m. Jacob Hendershot and George R. Garrett, Henrietta m. John Shanks.
In 1804, Anna m. William NASH in Warren Co, KY.
They traveled to Knox co, IN, and William m. Sarah Harbin, and Matilda m. Spencer Wood.
I have dates, and some info on Thomas if you want.
