I have only got back as far as 1858, my g.g.grandfather (I think) from Oxford, England. Hopefully the 1901 census will be on line soon and I can do some double checking. Are your Puseys from USA or UK?

I have gotten back asfar as 1851 on the puse side. My great grandmother's name was Violetta Lucinda Pusey. Her mother's name was Nancy. Not sure if Pusey was her last name or not. All I ever heard was Nancy Pusey. Don't know where they came from before this.

Surnames: Pusey, Jones
Hi!
My grandmother was Eva Pusey (aka Virginia)
She was born in Maryland and her parents were Sidney and Minnie Pusey. She had a sister named Pauline and Elizabeth.
They lived in NJ according to the 1930 census.
We are looking for any and all info on the Pusey's.
Her Mother was born in Delaware, father in Maryland.
Do these names sound right to you.
Would like to know what info you have on the cementries in De,
Please email me at jan136@juno.com
Also we are looking for info on Eva (Virginia 1st hubby name William Jones. all we know is that he was my mother's dad.
And he died in the years between 1963-1965. Mom's doesn't remember. She was told that he died when she was real small so when the news came that he passed away on a boating accident in the 60's this threw her for a loop.
Virginia wouldn't give her any info on him. Not even his middle name or where or when he was born.
So if you have any info in that part of the Pusey family I would appreciate any info.
Thanks for your time.
Jan

Hello - saw messages on board. the Pusey Coat of Arms is interesting because it is a "play on words" - there is a little cat on the top of the crest and the family motto is Poussez en Avant. The cat sits on top of a helmet facing left and black and gold oak leaves and the shield underneath has four red bars and three white. In between the cat and the helmet there is a band of red and white diagonal strips . My father asked for the Pusey Horn to be given back to him and nearly got it back!!!
