Surnames: Puotinen, Manninen
I'm looking for information on Lydia Manniinen who came to the US from Finland in 1913. She later married and her last name became Puotinen or Puatinen. She is believed to have lived in the Superior, WI or Duluth, MN area, although I don't have a lot of evidence on that. She was born around 1896 and looks like she may have died in Dec 1974. Her brother was Ade Manninen (also listed as Otto & Edward) who lived in Maple, WI. Their father was Alexander. I don't have much more information on Lydia, but would love to learn more.
Thank you,
Sheila

I have found additional information on Lydia Manninen (1896-1974). She was married to Hjalmer Heikkila, their son was Edwin Rudolph Heikkila (1917-1999). I'm not sure what happened to Hjalmer. Lydia was then married to Oscar Puotinen. I know that he was still alive when Lydia died in 1974.

I have an obituary for an Oscar Puotinen (I haven't been able to prove yet that this is the same Oscar). He was born about 1889 and died 1977. His brothers were Alex, Duluth, MN & Eino, Finland. He also had a sister Esther Hokkanen, Duluth.

I'm still looking for additional information on this family.
