Hi, Marisol:
There are many places in New York to access information:
The first place you should try is the New York Public Library located on 5th Avenue and 42nd Street. There you can access the 1910 and 1920 census for all U.S. states and Puerto Rico. It is free and open up to 6:00 or 8:00 p.m. depending on the day of the week. You can also find the nearest Latter Day Saints History Center by logging into their website:
www.familysearch.com. They have all the marriage, divorce, death and any other record you can think of but they charge a fee of $3.50 for microfilms they do not have in stock. For example, if you go and they do not have the microfilm you need at that location, they will charge you $3.50 to order it from Utah - it beats flying to Puerto Rico or any other state to get it..... I hope this information is helpful to you and should you need any other information, please feel free to contact me... I am new to this but am willing to share any information I have.. Good luck in your search.
Tip: When posting information on the net, do not include your date of birth or that of any living person and let others know where your family comes from.... Preferably post all information you have on deceased ancestors....
