Looking to connect with anyone researching the following Pullen families. Believe some or all of these may be brothers to my William Pullen b. 1812, Burlington co., NJ.
Documentation states first Pullen came to NJ in 1600s and have been here ever since. My William's parents were William and Charlotte Clark, born c. 1785. Trying to tie in these families.
Isaac W. Pullen b. 1805. Res. E. Windsor
James Pullen
Hiram Pullen b. 1815
Randall Pullen b. 1818
All the Pullens were fruit farmers, most up to present day. All had same names for their children: e.g. Charles, William H.H. , Melville, Chester, and Adaline. All 4 resided in E. Windsor, NJ. My William was Upper Freehold twp., and Millstone twp.
If any of these families are in your data base, please contact me @ BevPam@comcast.net. Willing to share any and all information. Thanks, Bev

Bev,
I believe my family has some Pullen in it. There was a Captain Edward S. Pullen(my great-great-grandfather?) that we think was born in Trenton NJ, about 1839 and died about 1891-92. He is buried at the Riverview Cemetary. I also know he had 3 young girls ages 8,6,and 4 at the same cemetary. Any other children we do not know.
We think his parents were Job (Jonathon?)b.1791,d.1880 and Susan(ana) (Adams)b.1800,d.1874-75. We found that they had two other children, Theadora and Louisa.
The tie-in with the Pullen family is what we think is a female Pullen married a Bohlayer. There may also be a tie-in with the Slenbaker family. My grandmother was Catherine Tremaine Bohlayer,1898-1939 born in Philadelphia, PA and lived in Freeland, MD. She married a Walter Leaon Rohrbaugh,1898-1961 from York County, PA.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to contact me with any questions. jr10566@yahoo.com

Thanks,
Jeff

My g-g-grandfather was Daniel Pullen born about 1810 in Mercer County,N.J. His wife's name was Delilah (?). One of his sons was Higbe(e) Pullen who was married to Ellen Black. One of his sons was Ernest Clifford Pullen from Hightstown ,N.J.. He married Martha Flemming from Nova Scotia. One of their sons was James Hinchliffe Pullen (my father). I know that most of the family including the Blacks were fruit farmers. Do you have any information on Daniel Pullen? I know there were Pullens in the area during the Revolutionary war but I have been unable to make a direct connection with my Pullen line.

Hi Drew,
Have a desc. sheet for Daniel(don't remember who sent it to me) It is missing some of the children including Higbee. I do have info on Higbee including his death cert. There is quite a bit but would be
happy to copy and mail regular mail if you like.
Or any specific questions you might have .
Higbee was born 1-29-1839 and d. 5-20-1923. He is buried at E. Windsor Cem. I have been to his grave and took pictures. He married Ellen Dye Black d,o Joseph Black and Martha Hinchcliff. 1880 census names, wife Ellen D., and children William H. 7yr.; Lily M. 4yr; and Martha L. c. 1876
His death cert. lists wife as Mary. Also have info on Daniel's other children. If you wish, please send regular address and I will forward all that I have. Bev
Please keep me in mind if you ever connect yours to mine.
