The Samuel Pulham of Wilby 169? was the Son of Samuel Pulham and Martha Dickerson. No christening record exists in the parishes surrounding Wilby, Stradbroke, Horham, Hoxne, etc. Samuel was one of 5 siblings, he and his sister Mary (no christening record) were the only surviving siblings of 5 children. It is most probable that Samuel was born in 1697 judging from the age listed in his burial entry.

Both Samuel and his sister Mary are mentioned in their Grandfather's will (Nicholas Dickerson, of Dickleburgh) in 1707. Then in 1939 when Samuel's father Samuel dies (most likely of old age) his father leaves him all of his estates and lands.
