I am currently searching for someone who is doing current research on the Pulcher family of Michigan or Illinois. This Family came to America in 1839, 1843 and 1853 from France. Martin Pulcher was the first to arrive in New York along with his wife and several step children and possibly another brother, Martins parents Catherine and Jean Claude Pulcher along with two sons Jean, Josephe and his wife Agnes came over in 1843 to New York on the ship Albany. These family's all settled in Greens Pointe township, Wayne county Michigan. In 1853 Jean Baptiste Pulcher and his wife Ann Marie Didies and their five children Jean Claude, Jean Baptiste, Celestine, Xavier and Georges landed in Boston on the ship Big (or) Bark Harvest. On the same ship as Jean Baptiste Pulcher I find a Joseph, Agnes, louis and Rose (P?)ulcher. Is this the same family that was on the ship Albany with Catherine and Jean Claude Pulcher in 1843 as I find this exact family in Michigan in 1860. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I am curious who you are doing research for...I come from the Pulcher line...so far we have back to Joannis Pulchair and Anne Marie Gropi prior to 1745 and then my line goes as follows...Me, Jack Wayland, Addie Pulcher Wayland, Amel, Xavier Frank, Jean Baptiste, Claude Jacques Pulchair, Francois Josephus and Joannis.

We are hosting a Pulcher Family reunion on July 17th at the Waterloo Sportsmans Club, Waterloo, Illinois. Come at noon eat at 1:00.

is there still an annual Pulcher family reunion in Illinois each year?
I am meeting next week with Jean Pulcher Hague here in PA as she contacted me asking what I may have on the Pulcher family. My husband Paul of Paul Arthur and Eugene Pulcher his father died in February.

I am not aware of any reunions that are based out of Illinois anymore. I attended several in Ava Illinois when I was younger about 30 to 40 years ago or so. As I typed I do recall a few years ago a lady contacted me and said there was a gathering near Cahokia if I remember correctly. Sorry I could not help more!
