My gggrandfather was Joseph Pulatie born about 1822 in Mississippi. He had three children, Joseph (who added a T pulattie), Fanny and Ralph. Can anyone help me find his father or mother?

Joyclyn,
I think I might be able to help you out. Thanks to a cousin, Joseph's father was Francis Pulatti (also w/2 t's)b. 1780, Italy. My husband's uncle was married to Jewell Pulatie, the g-g-g-granddaughter of Francis. Nancy

I am looking also for a Joseph Poletti/Pulatie from probably around the Lombardy region of Italy unsure though. I know the story goes that some where forced out off Italyy the supposedly owned Vineyards. A Joseph Poletti/Pulatie came to Britain married a Scot`s women Sarah Gallacher and had a son Joseph Poletti. I cant imagine that it was just him who left Italy. I do not know where the others went???? Really stuck. Family names are Joseph Robina James John Maryann Julia Sovarieo/Javaria Charles . These names come down from the Joseph from Italy I do not know if this is what the Italians called the family members though??????

L.T.,
My name is Phyllis Pulatie. I saw your message before in "History.com" message boards. By the time I tried to find out your e-mail address, it was no longer in use. We have 2 web sites of family members , most all are doing research. We have come up with different spellings of the last name and the name "Joseph" has popped up so many times.
If you could e-mail me back at this address along with your e-mail address where you can be reached, I will be more than happy to add and send you and invitation to both Pulatie Family web sites. Once I add you on the sites, you will be mailed 2 invitations (one for each) with a user name and password to have access to get in anytime you like. Maybe we can all get together and help you. So, please don;t give up HOPE! I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Phyllis

My biological father is a Pulatie. I was adopted by my biological mother's family. I have always wondered about the history of the Pulatie family. Not to cause problems for anyone in the Pulatie family, just to know the history. I was told the family originated in Italy. My biological father told me his father was a coach.

My mother's cousin was Francis Pulattie, a coach in the Dallas area when I was growing up.I am 63. I saw that he was inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame a few years ago and may still be alive. I do have some information if you are still interested.

Hello,

I would appreciate any information that are willing to share.

I think the person you are referring to -Frank Pulattie- if it is the same person-- would have been my biological grandfather. If it is the same person, he passed away--I found an obituary several months ago--I was trying to locate it and send you the link--but can't find it right now.
