Happy to report to you have I found some additional information on the Puc family. See if any of this makes sense to you:
1906, Andrezj Prohaski comes to Bristol, CT USA to work in a foundry. I can't find his immigration record just yet.
1907, Aniela Prohaski (Puc) comes through Ellis Island with 3 children: Merzya (b circa 1903), Franzis (b circa 1906), and Wlsdyslaw (b 16 Feb 1907). They list their destiation as visiting Andrezj in Bristol. Their origin is listed as Zilornoo, Austria. They were definately Polish so this must be Galicia.
Then somewhere between then and 1910 or so the family, minus Andrezj goes back to Poland because in 1911 I have a record of Aniela, Merzya, Franzis, Wlsdyslaw and a new child Bronislawa (b circa 1909 and my grandmother) on the boat. Again, they're going to Bristol, CT to visit Andrew. But this time the record of their origin is Bielinice, Poland, which as far as I can tell was a little village just a kilometer or so from Ulanow in the Podkarpacie area of Poland.
Both times Jozef Puk is listed as a reference from back home in Austria/Galicia/Poland.
So I'm wondering, do you think that maybe she and the kids went back to visit family, which could have well be located in Bielinice?
Some things to think about.
