Jenee:
I will be glad to help in your quest, however at this time "Park", does not appear in my database of surnamed individuals. What was his complete birth name, birth date? Any other family information might also be helpful in determining the connection.
As a long time genealogist for the family, I maintain a very large database of surnamed individuals, which includes all known variations. The name originated in what is today Germany. Since they arrived in 1733, there has been ample opportunity to become exposed to native American people.
My group did just that, by moving to the Oklahoma Territory. Both of my grandmothers were half-breed Osage.
Since the family is inherently of Germanic dissent, I have never found any direct relationship an Indian tribe other than mine. However, you might also contact the BIA(Bureau of Indian Affairs) to see if he had a tribal number.
Another approach - Where did he work?; Why did he change his name?; Check the records on that subject and the exact process.
