Looking for information on family and ancestry of Elizabeth Jane Puffenberger, born October 1844, married Albert Aldophis Mundorff near New Wilmington, PA Dec 19, 1865. After A.A.Mundorff died she remained a Jones near Grove City, PA. She died Nov.27, 1927. She had a daughter (my G-grandmother, Mattie (Martha) Luella Mundorff on Oct.7, 1869 about the time A.A.was killed.

If you have any hints, leads, comments or good solid facts please contact me at Dec1966@AOL.com.

Thanks
Ken

I'm seeking any information on Julia Puffenberger, second wife of Napoleon Bruce Alexander.
She was born about 1860 in PA, place unknown. They married June 4, 1889, and had four children - Esther,Mary,Joseph, and Samuel.
We believe Julia and Napoleon were living on a farm in Reedsville when their children were born.
Julia and Napoleon were both still alive in 1910 and listed on the census for Mifflin Co.
Published family history (Addendum to Record of Descendants of John Alexander) lists her name as Judia, but 1910 census shows it as Julia.

Sue: Please contact Ken Williams at Dec1966@aol.com.

My Puffenberger information is still sketchy but I guess that your Julia P is probably a niece of my Elizabeth Jane P because of the 16 year gap in birthdates.

Family research (undocumented to date) shows that the original Puffenberger may have been George Pfaffenberger from Vemet near Kaisers-Lautern, Germany in 1733. He and his wife had 4 children at the time.

The 1850 census of Berks County, PA (really Dauphin County in 1850) showed Puffinbergers had settled in an old German settlement at Tuopehocken near Reading, PA.

I am still looking for information.
