Well this is where it gets interesting. Mum and Auntie Freda are insistent that their dad was born in Gillingham Kent and moved to London through lack of work and his birthday was 12th May.
Neither of them know how Granny Starck was related to them but she must of been a bit of a tyrant as they were both scared stiff of her.
I will ask mum again but her memory is not too good. When Auntie Freda comes up to Watford next i shall pick her brains too!

hi elaine will try to attach photo to this message, spoke to mother[in law]last night she remembers your mum and Freda being little girls when dad took her to meet his family so dad must have been quite a lot older. He lived with the Starks in Gillingham until he went in the R AF.so there does seem to be a gillingham conection,Mother is keen to contact you all again but does not get out so much now.

Hi
Thanks for the photo I shall print it off to show to mum.
Have no information on William Francis Farmer but mum seems to think he divorced Granny Starck and then disappeared. My daughter looked on another website and there was a William Farmer who went to Australia in 1901 but not sure whether this is him or not.
Mum would love to hear from Ida and has asked me to pass on her phone number so if you have a email address i could send it to you.
If i find out anything else i will let you know.
