Re: William Puddicombe ca 1790
I am afraid that I do not have this William, but am desparately trying to locate Puddicombes from England that eventually lived in India during the 1800s. I have a Christopher Puddicombe m.to a Margaret Baker. Children from this marriage were Christopher, Bessie, Ellen (my GGGrandmother), Margaret, Mary Ann, Laura and a Dr. William. Please note that all of teh above has been handed down and so far I have been unable to confirm any details. Regards Robin.

Re: William Puddicombe ca 1790
Eunice have just seen your message and I am also having difficulties trying to find the link to William PUDDICOMBE 1790 as I do not have his parents names. The information I have is that William Puddicombe of Moretonhampstead, Dartmoor, Devon married Mary Tancock of Holcombe Burnel and that the marriage was witnessed by a Mr Wills. He was baptised in 1806 Bridford Church aged 16. I have information which has yet to be put on a family tree of his line through his son John.
Perhaps we can link our information and resources to solve the mystery.

Re: William Puddicombe ca 1790
William and Mary's daughter, Mary Puddicombe, born 1823 in Bridford, married James Pike and lived in and around Chagford, Devon. Mary died in 1904. Mary and James were my GG-grandparents. Their son, Andrew, moved to Bristol as a young man, married and raised a family there. There are still family members living in Bristol. Andrew's son moved to South Wales, where his son (my father) was born in 1921. The only information I have on William Puddicombe is what is already available thru' message board - baptised at age of 16 in Bridford and born in Moretonhampstead.

Re: William Puddicombe ca 1790
If anyone is interested I have more information regarding the Puddicombe family. I descend from William and Mary's daughter, Maria Puddicombe (b.1836) who married William Aggett from Chagford, at Bridford in 1855. I have a lot of dates that seem to be missing from the posts here.

I am interested in whatever information you can share with me. As you can see from my previous messages Ann Puddicombe married John Pickard.
