My Great Great Grandfather, Joseph Przegrocki
came from the Austria part of Poland to the
United States in the early 1880's with wife
Mary Maziarka and oldest Son John (born around 1880). His wife had died and remarried Anna Maziarka (probably Mary's sister in 1884 in one of the Catholic churches in Chicago. They had several children (Albert, Frances, Paul, Pauline,
and Antoni) to name a few. Joseph died in
1934 and Anna died in 1938 in Lake County
Illinois. Any help in identifying where
they originally came from is appreciated as
well as any variant spellings they may have.

Just saw this posting. My MAZIARKA's came from Leki Dolne, Poland. They also came to Chicago, but not until 1905. Do you have any other details on your MAZIARKA's?

Surnames: Przegrocki
In the index for the 1920 US census on ancestry.com, Joseph Przegrocki, age 62, in Waukegan/North Chicago, is listed as "Przagrocki." The handwriting says "Przegrocki." There was also a John "Przegroski," age 36, in Waukegan. That is probably a Przegrocki.
